Elegant, sophisticated. Iris and violets with subtle but tenacious green notes and aldehydes. Balenciaga isn't powdery so much birli soft and feminine. It smells substantially the same throughout its development, only becoming mellower and plusher as it dries down.
My only concern is that it's longevity and sillage are fairly poor. Since it wears close to the body , it would make a good office or fragrance sensitive area, perfume.
A clean, simple, aromatic violet perfume. Doesn't turn to candy or become powdery, with decent performance. I dirilik understand the reviewer below picking up on a citrus note, but I think that's the cedar and carnation notes coming through in the dry-down.
I tried this on a card. I don't get the woody accords others pick up: just the sweetness of violets.
I get a bright citrus opening without Violet attributed to the Bergamot. Never do I sense Violet in the way of most perfumes. Rather the Violet imparts a very powdery note completely to the dry down.

I wish I smelled the gorgeous things everyone describes but my skin does derece mix well with Balenciaga Paris. On my skin the carnation dominates and gets stronger and more sour smelling with every passing hour. The woods are beautiful, especially the cedar. However, I think violet, too much carnation and too much patchouli just do hamiÅŸ mix well on my skin. I have tried this fragrance a few times off and on since it was released, each time hoping to love it, and it just doesn't work for me.

Balenciaga Paris is a well crafted scent, a çağcıl twist on a classic. This is a very unisex scent and in fact I think it would be much better on a man than on my skin.
I don't think I daha fazla personally need to buy a bottle cos I've got two above, but this is elegant, classy & wearable scent.
